I lean toward the scholarly end of things. I seldom read Witchy type books, though: been there, done that, finished with it. I'm more likely to read the Eddas, the Orphic hymns, and works on archaeology, folklore, linguistics, etc.I'm high priestess of a traditional coven, and active in a regional Elders council. I'm active in Pagan community life, especially within my initiatic lineages, but I manage to mostly avoid the bickering that crops up ocasionally in any community. I teach, which is a major commitment.Aside from my directly Craft-related activities, I enjoy stuff like movies and dancing (old-fashioned partner type dancing, none of that just-bounce-and-wiggle stuff). I also skate and ski.I don't watch much TV, but I am a major Star Trek nerd, and I have favorite shows, most of them classics--Carnivale, Firefly, Robin of Sherwood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel...I am dedicated to my Craft and to my calling, but life is too short to be serious all the time. Also too short to waste it on drama.I raised my kids in the Craft and am happy to see them continuing in their heritage and married to Pagans in their turn. No grandkids yet, though, so instead of babbling about my grandchildren, I babble about my pets, all of whom have scales.I'm actively involved in political and social justice issues, but I don't carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. I also don't fret much about my own faults or problems: I acknowledge them, and I perform my due diligence about them (well, I think I do), but life is too exciting and interesting for me to dwell on that stuff.
